Realme 8 5G Launch Date Set for April 21, Specifications Teased in a Video

“Realme revealed that its Realme 8 5G will be launced on 21 April, 2021 the Realme Company revealed it by social media account on Friday.”

The new Realme phone will be an upgrade to the Realme 8 that debuted in India last month.

The Realme 8 5G is expected to have a gradient back finish, and will not have the ‘Dare to Leap' branding. The phone will seemingly look similar to the vanilla Realme 8, with a rectangular camera module and grey colour finish.

Talking about some specifications of Realme 8 5G:

The Realme 8 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor.
The Realme 8 5G modle number RMX3241 variant with 8GB RAM.
The Realme 8 5G running Android 11 operating system.
The Realme 8 5G comes with Realme UI 2.0.
The Realme 8 5G comes with 5,000mAh battery.
The phone is said to measure 162.5x 74.8×8.5mm.
The phone has a weight around 185 grams.
The device managed to score 570 points in the single-core test, and 1,766 in the multi-core test.

The official Realme Thailand page on Facebook announced the launch date of the Realme 8 5G. A teaser video has also been posted on the Facebook page that gives us a glimpse of the upcoming Realme phone.

The video shows the Realme 8 5G from its back sporting a gradient finish in a black shade and the smartphone shown in the video does not carry the ‘Dare to Leap’ tagline that featured on the recently released Realme 8. Some recently leaked images, however, had suggested the tagline at the back of the Realme 8 5G as well. But, we can see there is no tagline of ‘Dare to Leap’ in Realme 8 5G smartphone in the promo video.

As per the promo video, the Realme 8 5G will look similar to the 4G variant that launched in India. We only get to see the back of the phone, but the front should look identical to the 4G variant as well. Previous reports (FCC documents) had also revealed that the 5G variant will feature a 5,000mAh battery similar to the standard Realme 8. We expect it to come with support for 30W fast charging or higher. The phone will reportedly get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and other connectivity features. We do not know much about the official launch date of the phone in India, but it is expected to happen on April 23rd.

The phone has also passed the BIS certification. This gives us a hint that Realme 8 5G can be released very soon. Let’s wait and see what happens next.
